CHOICE
Alongside running a business, storytelling has remained a quiet but persistent fascination in my life. Over time, that fascination gradually evolved into writing a way for me to explore the unpredictable ways in which individuals, institutions, and historical forces interact. I am particularly drawn to those moments when history could have taken a different turn, and to the idea that ordinary people, often unknowingly, influence events far greater than themselves.
My approach to fiction combines careful research with observations drawn from real life. I believe stories become more compelling when they are grounded in credible settings, plausible motivations, and the complex realities of the world we inhabit. Through my writing, I try to explore the intersection of power, chance, and human choice while asking questions about identity, nationhood, and the forces that shape societies. My first novel, Love, Job or Country, and my recent release, The Missing Nation, reflect this curiosity, blending imagination with historical speculation.
The Missing Nation is my second novel – an exploration of those choices, consequences, and contradictions that make life far more intriguing than fiction (and sometimes far more dramatic).
